JeanMarie Christenson for State Representative
District 2, Position 1

JeanMarie Christenson is committed to safer communities, better schools, greener jobs, affordable health care, and protecting our environment.

ON THE ISSUES:
I support our State's high priority areas such as education and health care, and to that end I feel we are putting too many burdens on the very folks that cannot afford it. We should strive to eliminate loopholes that favor large corporations while the middle class struggles.
Every year the State looses hundreds of millions of dollars in general fund revenues, unemployment insurance taxes, and worker's compensation premiums because of a prevalent underground economy. Even worse, legitimate employers face an enormous competitive disadvantage. I support a fair and just opportunities for both employers and employees.
All jobs should provide living wages and safe working conditions. Products and services that also protect and enhance the world we live in, support technologies and scientific breakthroughs, that bring solutions to the market place, solve our most pressing challenges, and create greener jobs, will give a sagging economy strength, and all of us hope for a better future.
I support legislation that requires employers to either provide reasonable health care coverage to their employees, or pay a fee to the State to assist in providing health care ... and no one who works full time should live in poverty. It only makes sense that this will reduce absenteeism, turnover, and reduce the risk of spreading disease.
Let's make sure we have a future worth walking into.

JeanMarie Christenson is currently the First Vice Chair of the Legislative District 2-Democrats, the PCO of Weir Prairie 128, and is a Candidate for State Representative, running against the incumbent Republican.
JeanMarie is a Washington native, born in Spokane, and grew up in Wenatchee, where among other responsibilities, she sat on the Board of Directors for her father's cattle and horse ranch. Her residence is Rainier, Washington.
JeanMarie has worked successfully in both private and public settings, and always generously contributed her time volunteering in the community, including caring for foster children and donating her services as a counselor to youth-at-risk.
JeanMarie is committed to strengthening the State's economy, public safety, education, the creation of green jobs, health care for all, preserving our liberties, and the protection of our environment.

"What does a State Legislative Representative do?"
Here is my answer: "Representatives make the State's laws.
When I am elected & you contact your local Representative to
tell them how you want them to vote, I will be the person you
   will be speaking with."
