Over the past few years of being a resident of Washington, and a student of the Great Work, I have noticed summers have been short, winters have been long, and the gardens of many students have decreased in produce production due to weather conditions.

The time has come to grasp the wonderful energy exchange through the enhanced research of Aquaponics (DIFFERENT FROM HYDROPONICS). Aquaponics is a closed loop, recycled system that uses fish emulsions to grow your beautiful plants, with the reproduction rate of over 4 TIMES an average garden can produce! There is no soil, no harmful pesticides, and that's right no more bending over to weed your garden. Also experience the organic taste of fresh water fish. The practice of Aquaponic farming is not a new technology, it dates back to the Aztecs but recently it has has been re-discovered. Aquaponic farming combines the techniques of Aquaculture (fish farming) and Hydroponics (plants grown in water) to create the most sustainable food production system on earth. The system works by using a type of fresh water fish (usually Tilapia or Trout) that will multiply in a water tank, then plants are grown on the water’s surface. The relationship works perfectly between the fish and the plants. The fish produce waste in the water, then the waste is transformed into organic fertilizers for the plants, and the plants clean the water for the fish. The process is completely organic and sustainable for the entire ecosystem. The most beneficial aspect is the system can be installed and operational on a small scale in your backyard or inside your home.
